Inaugurating a two-day State-level workshop on 'Climate crisis: Towards possible solutions'organised by Citizens' Global Platform (CGP), Karnataka Unit at Dhvanyaloka on Bogadi Road hereyesterday, Vombatkere said: "To improve the economy of the country,industrialisation is inevitable. The irony is, resources are drawn from theearth giving back only waste materials. Consequently, wastage has been pilingup in air, water and on earth surface resulting in climate crisis.Industrialisation at the cost of agriculture is no good for, that curtails foodproduction."
CGP NationalCo-ordinator Mukesh Bahuguna pointed out that public co-operation was needed toevolve a solution for global climate crisis, not necessarily restricting theparticipation to only experts and government.
CoorgOrganisation for Rural Development representative Roy David presided. Adocumentary was presented showcasing the adverse affects of climate crisisowing to global warming.
